Eating Well and Flying Often

Austin was born and raised in North Carolina. A southern boy deep down, at eighteen he headed west and made Park County, Montana his home. His path has been a winding and pleasure filled road..

He's been fortunate to work in seemingly unrelated fields including Mountain Search and Rescue, 911 Dispatching, Air Traffic Control, and burrito rolling at minimum wage. That's not to mention where all aviation roads seem to start - cold hands obtained from pumping Jet-A into someone else's flying machine, after hours, on a cold winter night, in driving snow. He's still trying to figure out what to do when he grows up.

Those experiences, in addition to other passions like agriculture (he and his wife Rebecca have chickens & a small apple orchard), rebuilding unloved houses, skiing, climbing, & bumming around the North America (before having a family), have lead to more rewarding experiences than he can count. He's thankful for the opportunity to continue drawing on these experiences each and every day.

Austin is focused on continuing to build out a lifetime of well earned experiences, in the wide valleys of Southwest Montana while offering you the most appropriate flight training experience for your wants, needs, and expectations.

If there's an opportunity to share this excitement with you, whether it's in a flying machine, at the airport, in line at the hardware store, over some organic bacon and eggs, or a cold one at the end of a long day, then all the better.
